Welcome and congratulations on navigating to my little corner of the internet. You must be tired; please, have some tea. Pull up a hammock.

A bit about myself: I am a travel enthusiast who enjoys standing in the spaces between rain drops. I cook with lots of garlic and lemon, knit seasonally, and misplace my floss with alarming regularity. I can identify most North American birds of prey at a glance.

I am a writer of poetry and flash prose whose work has appeared throughout the US and Canada in publications such as RATTLE, Flyway, Grey Sparrow Press, Contrary, Stone Highway Review, Plenitude, and Fifth Wednesday Journal. My work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and the Micro Award.

I also write contributor posts and reviews for various publications, and am the poetry editor for Cactus Heart Press.

I think it is imperative that people write, in particular those from groups or communities that are systematically disenfranchised and silenced. Words have power and sharing lived experiences as well as the most fanciful of fiction has immense value for both writer and potential readers. I think you should write if you want to, and especially if it scares you.
